Telling stories is what we do, as humans. The most effective and memorable pieces of communication are stories. Yet, brands often fail to grasp effective storytelling techniques both for customers and for employees. In this workshop, we will understand why branded storytelling works, and why many organisations fall short of creating genuine connections with their audiences. We will examine how storytelling can work for multiple platforms, both for internal employees and external customers, and how storytelling is effective across products and services. The myth that storytelling is only for playful, fun, or lifestyle brands will be addressed, and you will learn how brands of all types can use this powerful medium effectively. You will work on stories across text, video, image, and AR/VR formats, and learn how to invest your business resources effectively into branded storytelling.
You will be able to identify and construct narratives from the people and products within your workplace and organisation at large. You will also learn the process of performing a story audit and link relevant areas of brand communication (advertising, brand management, content marketing, and social engagement) to your stories and their audiences. There are no conditions or pre-requisites for attending this workshop.
