Workshop Overview

The effects of user-generated content have been around long enough to methodically approach, and logically implement as thriving campaigns across cultures, countries, and consumer interests. In other words, great blogs and EDMs aren’t built just on content, but also context. It’s easy to forget that blogs are powered by human-inspired activities — human-beings creating stories for other human-beings. That’s what’s known as context. And if you think about enough, how else do you influence the world’s largest populations (Facebook, China, India)? That is the power of blogs and EDMs.

‘Introduction to Blogging and EDMs’ teaches you to use the power of organic content across strategic content fields and brandscapes. You will know how to share your organisations stories through humanized narratives that evoke tribal connections between your brands and your audiences. You will also be adept at creating content value for your audiences through design-led principles and image-driven pieces.

At the end of this workshop, you will be able provide end-reader context to your campaign’s stories, and drive strong social media campaigns that people actually care about. In other words, you will be able to motivate your users to: find time for your content; and find your content worth spending time over. You will also be able to select and apply suitable social media strategies to create the engagement you desire for yourself, or for your organization. There are no conditions or pre-requisites for attending this course. You can enrol directly for ‘Introduction to Blogging and EDMs’ as a single standalone workshop, or you can combine this workshop in a pro bundle together with ‘Introduction to WordPress’ at a reduced bundle price. You can also combine this workshop with any other workshop offered to create your own hybrid combination (e.g. ‘Introduction to Blogging and EDMs’ with ‘Introduction to Copywriting’).

We understand that organisations and institutions have unique requirements and particular goals to accomplish. Each of our workshops can be re-designed to meet the particular objectives of your organisation. ‘Introduction to Blogging and EDMs’ follows a standard curriculum for public workshops. Organisations intending to customise this workshop for their own private use, are able to pick from the workshop curriculum and topics, and adapt these to their own requirements. Quantico’s instructors work with organisational training heads and department leads to create a custom version of the workshop for your employee and team needs. Customisation includes replacing public examples with your own internal case studies, and using these within the workshop framework. Customisation also extends to the number of days required (e.g. 1-day or 2-day workshop) and is commensurate with the number of topics covered and breadth of material requested for the customised workshop.
